Found this camp site online. Such a beautiful peaceful site set in beautiful surroundings. Run by a very pleasant family. Some beautiful walks in the area with breath taking views. The site is very basic but we never had a problem with this, both male and female shower blocks only have one toilet and one shower in ( which is £1 for a 5min shower). There’s an Out side sink with draining area for washing up, If you want electric ur best to book as there’s only a few electric pitches on the site.

Dogs are allowed on the site but must be kept on leads as the owners have sheep in the fields surrounding the site

Highly recommended site for relaxing. The site is next to the river which is lovely to walk along (which is fenced off from the site). There’s a pub in the local village which is with in walking distance. There’s a sea side town about 10 mins away where there’s a supermarket etc.

Very family friendly site children of all ages would love it here

We will be booking up again next yr and recommending the site to every one.

We would like thank the owners for making our stay so pleasant. Good luck for the future x

Spent a lovely weekend with our 3 boys, 10, 7 and 3. It is a peaceful site, next to a shallow river that is fenced off but easily accessible ( ideal for smaller children). There is a deeper spot for swimming a little downstream. Campfires are allowed. There are hookups, a campers’ fridge and freezer and showers are £1. The facilities were spotless. £12 per night for us all was good value. The views are spectacular. Talyllyn, the Talyllyn steam railway, Bird Rock and Castell y Bere are within cycling distance and it’s an ideal base for hill walking.

There’s a nice cafe and pub in the village but no shop.

You can catch a train from Abergynolwyn station to Nant Gwernol and walk back, which is easily manageable for children and it has a cafe and nice play facility and is cheaper than doing the whole Tywyn line. Dolgoch falls is also well worth a visit.

Only downside to this site was the midges in the early evening so come prepared with insect repellent.
